Default Axle rebuild update and question

Well got about half way to my axle today. Three hours to get this far, not including raising car on jack stands. i think I am going to go all the way and put hardened axles both sides and DTE clutch pack, then a carbon fiber driveshaft, and A built tranny. Even though I have no tranny issues, might as well get the Viper mainshaft and the steel shift forks and syncros. Ellis, pm me a quote on a tranny rebuild/upgrade, please. depending on price I may do it myself, however, it's been a few years since my last M22 rebuild. Anyone know a trick on how to remove a broken piece of axle lodged up inside the half shaft? Thanks

Robert

Depending on how long your on jack stands, I might just go by there and "borrow" you DRs. Seems like it's going pretty well tho Rob, sorry about the miss fortune. It's **** like that happening, why I decided to pull the trigger on a built tranny.

I'll let you know, I'd like to put a few miles on the new tranny once, it's in.
So if there still off next weekend, I'll swing buy and drop off mine.

Robert

Weld a bolt to the broken end and use a slide hammer to pull it out.

Yea, I was thinking of that, however, I was afraid I might weld the splines together cause the welder ground will be going through the cv joint to the broken piece via the splines. what do you htink? I'll be using a stick welder. thanks

Will do in very near future. I am working 6 days a week, so getting back to my car is far and few, I'll try to get it out this weekend.
