Default Wheel search continues

Looking at CCW sp500's. sp18's Called for a quote. $2950 to my door 18x10 in front and 18x11 out back. This is the only way ccw would do the camaro I was told. Thats 1000 less than the fikse but still $3k. Bobby was right about one thing. It doesnt make sense in my car at this time. I can and should get a forged bottm end first, then the custom wheels. So it looks like z06's or c6's or something .

Ok looking at 3 choices now. Money wise the Z 07's are a little more. I'm just sick of my ZR1's. The Z07's also have a 53 offset which is better than the 56 and 58 of the other two.

I'm leaning towards the Z07. I've seen them on one car and I kind of like them. They're a sharp contrast.

Well my opinion would be the Z06's. You know Billet specialties has some nice choices at very reasonable prices. Like 1400-1600 a set.

I looked thru them all and didnt really see anything I liked, well kind of did but they were at 600-800 for a wheel. The thing holding me back about the z06's is that eveyone has them, plus the backspacing isnt exactly ideal. But it would be the best deal. Straight from Discount w/ tires m+b'ed no shipping charge.

www.kodiakracingwheels.com

I think that's where my next set is going to come from. Might just check them out, most of the pictures are on the "Prices" page.

Not bad, but still comes to $2500 I like the s-5 but there are a couple nice ones there.

Yeah, you pay for performance

What are you getting the wheels for? If you aren't going to buy them to eliminate as much weight from each corner then you might also consider something besides forged rims. Have you looked at the HP Evo (Lightning) wheels? You can get a set of 18" rims for about $1200. They are a split 10 spoke design similar to Fikse FM10s, but they are not forged.

I want to run a 315x18x30 in the rear, the front can either be an 18 or a 17. But I need at least a 10.5 in rim in the rear. I found the z07 for 1.50 delivered with an 18x9.5 and an 18x11 both in 53 offsets. I have aftermarket brakes as well. some wheels dont clear them so well. Fikse classics I'm told wont, I'd have to use their Profil's. I like the profil5s so someday when I have all the other stuff in order (forged bottom end and 9" rear) I'll order them. But for now I'm really leaning towards the z07's. They come with a 3yr warranty on the chrome and lifetime structural.

Yep searched them all, talked to all kinds of wheels people in the last two weeks. I'm glad its finally over with. Got a 3yr warranty on the chrome and lifetime on the structural 18x9.5 and 18x11 for $1075 to my door. Tomz was less expensive but doesn’t have an 11. Cant wait for ever so its done. My wheels are now or sale. I know bobby wants the rII’s but I’ll sell the whole package for $600. These are oem 17” chrome zr1’s with fairly fresh rubber on them.

Thx. I'm psyched. Next thing to go (again) will be the rear I figure with the added traction I'll have. Been pricing out a 9" to see what I'm looking at and $2400 seems to be the ballpark.

Unless you are dead-set on getting that 9 inch, there is a sponsor selling Dana 60 rears for our cars with some good feedback on them in the GP section. Just something to think about.

I saw those danas. Not sure about them yet but I'll definately check them out better when its time to buy. I know You need to alter your ds, but I'm guessing I'll need a new one anyway if I get to that point in power and traction.
