Default Need opinions: Thinking about selling wheels

I am thinking about selling the stock wheels on my 2000 TA. I am not sure what sorta price to ask for them. The tires are still in great condition. As for the wheels none have curb rash but one wheel does have some flaking of the chrome as you can see in the pics. Obviously I want to get as much as I can but I just want to make sure I'm not asking way too much for them off the bat. So toss in your $.02 and let me know. Thanks.

Where are you located? Would shipping be involved?
(its a helper for those looking to pick up a spare set at the last minute)

Are those the 16x8's? Not sure what the going rate is on those.......might wanna browse the classifieds to see what people are asking/getting for em? See what the selling price on ebay has been for similar stuff? Just a few thoughts.....

Yeah, those are stock 16x8 "twisty" wheels that have been chromed. They didn't come from the factory like that, it would have been done aftermarket.

Your best bet for those is with the V6 crowd, since most people who have a LS1/LT1 car are gonna be looking for 17x9s or larger.

Yes they are 16X8s and I want to upgrade to 17" wheels...not sure which ones just yet. I'm in Mountlake Terrace and I want to try and sell locally first so I don't have to ship. I will check out ebay and a friend suggested I try Craigslist when I decide on a price.

Was never an option on an LS1 car, no. Twisty wheels only came painted silver.

The chrome wheels that were available where a 5-spoke that looked kinda like a 16" chrome version of the '98-00 WS6 wheel.

DrEvyl is right...the twistys only came in the silver finish.

Dude, Evyl is right, try the V6 areas for sellin em, unless you are willing to split them up into two pairs for guys who want 16" rims for drag radials or slicks, chances are you will have much better luck with the V6'ers.

Rookiels1: I saw the car as I was heading home on 99 cuz I-5 was so slow that day. The car caught my eye and now they have my Gold formula. You got some nice pics on your site. I got a Nikon D50 recently and am still learning to use it. Might see you around if you're just over in Edmonds.
