Default Another Enzo down the drain.

http://www.openroadracing.com/forum/...pic.php?t=1342

Pulled this off the ORR board. Some people just should be aloowed to drive anything more than a Geo. I dont give a crap how rich they are. This is proof that money doesnt make you any smarter than the gas station attendant.

It does suck that someone that stupid was allowed to buy that car. For shame. Give me the opportunity and see what I would do with it. Anyway, for a 100 mile per hour wreck I guess he was lucky to walk away.

Weren't the Enzo's treasured enough by ferrari that you had to pass a bunch of qualifications to even be offered to purchase one? Multiple previous ferrari's, driving schools, interviews, etc?

From the sounds of it they picked a bad road to do it on with the "whoop-dee-doos" that were mentioned in it. IIRC the Enzo that was crashed in California almost a few months back was actually being sent to Ferarri to be rebuilt and sent back out to someone else. The only qualification for getting to buy/selected to buy one of the cars from what I have read was to have bought two or more Ferarri's and still have them in your collection, something that just the average Joe Shmoe could do with the pricetag that comes with them.

Needless to say, being in a accident at speeds of 100+ you are lucky to be alive half the time, so much force and metal to destroy you and it all happens in a matter of seconds... Think of that when you are racing down the track with 100+ MPH trap speeds!

I don't know why you guys are upset. I really don't care since he did not hurt someone else. Sure it was a great car. At least he was attempting to experience it.

and yes, it did break up like it was meant to. I remember seeing parts of cars *in trees* off the road in Italy where the average speed is 230kmh and not just on the autostrata. They aren't straight and flat roads either, they are used to crashing at 100mph or more and most times just walk away with a few bruises. The worst is getting passed up by Porsches and Ferrari's that aren't allowed in the states. It sucks when they won't even allow a Cogsworth over here let alone a regular 'street' car they drive everyday.

btw - the Ferrari plant is impressive as plants go. About the only place in Italy that was spotless with **** retentive inspectors at every building phase station.
We'd never get that lucky with any vehicle here
