Default Car Weight???????

So, Out of curiosity, on my way home from Mark's Saturday night, I stopped at the weigh station to see what my car weighs. Turns out it is at 3440 lbs. What is everyone else at???

Not sure how they round that off.

I drove by a few weeks later in the Metro and it was 1,950.

Are you talking about a weigh station for semi's? Didn't know a regular ole car could just cruise on in and get weighed.........interesting.

Wow Doug that's pretty light, I assume that was with you in it? Mine is 3560 with me and a full tank of gas, so I'm guessing around 3300 dry.

Mine should be around 3130...at least that is what the listing from GM is minus the weight savings of my new exhaust....I shaved 45 lbs off.

Possibly.

There is an abandoned weigh station in Lake Stevens off HWY9. Park your car on the strip and stick your head around the corner to peer in and see your wieght displayed.

It's been on for years.

Go up to that moving place by Lowes, just up from the rollerskating rink. I weighed my truck there for about $10.

take something to the transfer station (dump) in factoria or kirkland. i.e. a bunch of cardboard for recycling or something. the weight will be on the reciept. subtract your own weight from the total. but... they'll want $15.

Yeah, but THAT is a GOOD increase!!!

I plan to drive mine up there on Friday morning to get a race-trim weight. Should be interesting to see how this scale compares to the garbage dump scale. I weighed the car there last year & it weighed 4100 with me & the wife but only 1/3 tank of gas. (I race with it full cuz the s/c sucks the bucket dry)

You guys all must be going to Texas to check the scales. I 've never seen a 4th gen that light. Most are pushing 3700-3800 or more.

A fox body Mustang weighs about 3080 sans driver. I know your late model Camaroes and Firebirds are heavier.

I measured mine at the local transfer station. I have also weighed my Volvo wagon there with me in it and the wagon is 3260 (250lbs over the listed curb weight). Haven't really looked at what the curb weight of my Camaro is because I know what it actually is
