Default Willow Springs Simulator Z06 vs GT500 vs Viper

Check this out, Motor Trend did a test between these cars, and this is a simulator of the results. Take your curser and move it around, you can get angles for any view. Very cool.

They did a test with these same cars on a show on Speed a while back. They said the ZO6 was the hands down best bang for the buck and even proved better than the Ford, but the Viper was the clear best bet for handling around corners and quick acceleration out of the turns. The Ford was just too sloppy for the price -- fast and nimble but not enough for the money.

I thought that show had the GT40 in it Howard? A GT500 shouldn't be able to hang with a new Z or a Viper.

Oops. You are correct. It was the GT40.

All these "GT" names get confusing. Can't Ford come up with anything original? The abreviation originally just stood for "Grand Touring."

There was another test between the new GT40 and the Z06 on a long course and the GT beat the Vette by .4, so it has some advantage on a longer course. But the brakes have a habit of going out after a few laps (GT40).

That was the vet "atacking turn three and not only turning UNDER the viper in MID-turn but OUT-PULLING the viper down the fast section!!! road racing IS different from drag racing and to turn propperly you should "Set up the turn" so this means "Ya,.....all over the track"

That was pretty cool! I wonder how that would be with the FordGT in the mix?

Suposedly the FordGT is faster than all 3......Viper, Vette, and the GT500!
