Side Exit

They make a street verison now. The street boom tube muffler. It has a spintech built into it and is only 1 3/4 inch tall. Took a long time to find a car that had it done. Boyce's were both on one side. I've seen the molded stuff of the mustangs. Looks good. Not going to do a ground effects kit on the Camaro though.

You already know that I love them. However, I hope you have something else to drive on a daily basis. Ask Don (NW Dragracer) how loud the boom tube is. He got to sit in the car at WOT for a while. I dont think the hearing in his right ear will ever be the same. That coupled with the smell of exhaust on you everytime you drive the car makes for something that is more funtion that form....even though it looks pretty bad ***, I would hold off on it for a street car.

Another idea would be to either have them exit out the side just behind the tire. Or if your doing TD's, dump them just before, or just after the axel, them run a couple of cut-outs just before the mufflers to the side exit tips. If your cars lowered, no one would see the mufflers. You could have a somewhat milder exhaust for the street, and open up the boom tubes at the track or just for fun. I'm not sure, but I don't think it would weigh that much more.

ok and it looks like I was wrong about the muffler part. I though it said a spintech uuilt in it says spin trap which is the same as the original. Pk I guess the original had nothing. What the hell is a spin trap muffler?

I'd be afraid of loss of ground clearance.
I have side exit exhaust on my pickup....it used to get loud before I had an OD tranny. Running on the highway doing 70 @ 2800 RPMS with the windows down (no AC) gets old
