Default Boss 302

There is a Saleen/Parnelli Jones 302 mustang parked outside my work right now... I took a few snapshots with the camera phone and will post em up later tonight if anyone is interested.

Pretty sweet car...

Just a little 302, but puts out 400horses and 390ft/lbs of torque.

I read somewhere that it was around $60,000. Not worth the cash in my opinion.

2007

MSRP is mid to high $50k's

Only 500 of them are being produced.

This one was #90, and the dash board was signed by Saleen and Jones...

The base C6 would wipe it clean. The Shelby GT500 couldn't keep up and it had 100 more HP.

The shaker hood doesn't work well with that body style. Just too out of place for me.

Everything else is OK, although I dislike louvers it goes with the original styling of the Boss.

But did the Shelby have any suspension work done? Horespower doesnt necessarily win races on a road course...

While I don't know, I can't imagine Shelby putting his name on a car that could not take a road course. My guess would be that he beefed up the suspension as well as the powerplant.

Although I have a feeling that you are correct..
Car and Driver a few months ago.

Check out the Top Gear comparing the Roush / Shelby, the Roush Stage 3 is faster around the track even (better suspension stock) and has 75HP less. But overall the Base C6 absolutely wiped out the GT500.

GT500 is a pig.
