Hopefully no one here was involved in this.
Sorry but I couldn't help but laugh, we deal with a decent amount of snow in Spokane and just makes me laugh a little when people gripe about what looks like so little.

Most of the people in this state aren't from here so they have little or no experience in the snow or ice. Then when stuff like this happens, they say washington people can't drive in snow...Well, it's not us causing the problem, it's the out of staters.. I'm hoping that after all the storms this year all the californian's will pack up and go back home!
And I can't get that video to come up, but I'm guessing it's the ice one from Portland...That was just plain crazy!

That's a great training video. It shows why when it gets seriously icy you STAY HOME! Most people shouldn't even think about going to work when conditions get like that. Personally, I'd like to see a law that allows the state patrol to declare a "Snow Emergency" which would require all non-essential employers to shut down and send everyone home until they lift the state of emergency.

Wait, isn't at the very least, your husband from out of State as well? And were you born here?
FWIW, if all the "Californian's" packed up and went home, your housing market would take a HUGE dump.......all those Houses for sale, not enough Washintonians to buy em.........wave bye bye to your equity.

Talking about being born here reminds me of the movie Road Trip with Tom Green, only because me and the brother watched it this weekend, they ask if he wants to come along and he just replies, "no..." they ask if he has ever left the state and he says "no..." kind of makes me laugh, by the time I was 12 I had almost been in every lower 48 states.

And so long as you don't mind losng every drop of equity in your home (and every other one in this (State) and having thousands and thousands of empty homes, not selling, sitting there for years on end, then it is a good plan. Oh, and I will be sure to wave before I go.
