The wife and I both have bikes. We plan on doing plenty of riding this summer.

Wife- 2006 GSXR 600

00Vette- 2007 GSXR 750

Neither of my bikes have any mods, and I doubt they'll get many. I say that now, but time will tell. I am eying a nice can.

I've got an '04 ZZR1200. I've seen a time of 10.1 posted for this bike. Not the fastest machine out there, but for a fairly comfortable bike it does ok. Mods so far are Genmar risers and some Muzzy cans with a rejet ( yup it's carburated ) I'd like to do some prep so I could drag race it a little What all do you have to do to have it meet specs ? The 3 guys I routinely ride with have an '06 gixxer 600, '05 gixxer 1000, and another long time friend with an old fj1200. We have fun on the backroads up here in skagit county

I've got the tame one of the group (I guess)

2004 Honda VFR800A
that's an "Intercepter" abs for the rest of you

asphalt black, I have the honda hard bags, sargent seat, zero gravity double bubble windscreen, and I am ordering the PCIII for it next week probably.

it's the only bike on the road with "VTEC" (hyper vtec to be more acurate)
and "I can keep up"

My Fizzer:

1994 Yamaha FZR 1000.
-Pretty much stock right now
-Zero Gravity windscreen
-Removed the ugly factory "90's" orange/purple graphics....

Planned mods:
-Red Rim Stripes
-Fuel Injection Conversion
-05' R1 Fuel Tank
-05' R1 Subframe and rear tail conversion
-05' R1 Swing arm

Pic of the bike from last summer.......

Hey Russ, one of my very first street bikes (way back in 1988) was an 84' Interceptor 750.

We all know the real interpretation of that sentence Jon. The bikes will feel real fast for the first month or two of riding, then you'll swear they're losing power lol....

Before my gixxer I had and raced on occasion a 2004 Bandit 1200S (carbuarated too). My best on that bike was a 11.05

Manditory safety for passing tech at the strip -
Full face Snell 2000 approved helmet
leather gloves
leather jacket (not textile or mesh)
leather shoes/boots above the ankle
factory chain guard or aftermarket extending centerline to centerline of sprockets

If you exceed 120 mph in the 1/4 you will also need in addition to above -
Leather pants that zip together with the jacket (or a 1 piece suit)
Factory fuel injected bikes with a tip over kill switch
all other bikes will need a teathered kill switch connected to the rider.

Hope this helps and if you have any questions, let me know.

I currently have a 2005 GSXR 1000. I ride it everyday pretty much. It has -1 tooth up front, lighter chain, pilot powers, shorty slip on for looks and noise, strap/dogbones for the track and a 40 shot. I took off the queer stock mirrors and put on '05 750 mirrors and relocated the blinkers to the running lights next to the headlights. I took off most of the stickers too. I haven't had this one to the track yet, but I have been 10.28 @ 138 on my buddy's bone stock '03 GSXR 1000 in Phoenix at 3000+ DA. For reference he went 9.95 @ 141 on the same night on the same bike and he weighs about 80 lbs less than me.

I am seeing a similarity to bikes and people who have performance oriented cars.

We might be coming up to Seattle again this summer. I'm seriously thinking about trailering the bike up. Either way, y'all are more than welcome to come on down this weekend; me and some buddies are goin' for a long-needed ride Saturday.

That is a nice Duc you got!! Love the sound of them, and those new 1098's are to die for!! <drool drool..... > It's nice they kept the price reasonable on the 1098's, but I have a feeling Ducati is going to make up for it in routine service fees.
