I'm almost done with the video. I'm putting the Red mustang at ~280hp/tq, the Blue one at ~350hp/tq(I seem to recall hearing that), and Mark's at ~500hp/tq.

I've got the cars in order of COMBINED hp/tq. Straight hp was too wild as some cars put out a LOT more tq than hp.

BTW, Nick, if you could zip the run files and post 'em that'd be great too!!!
I will do that for you on Monday Patrick or tomorrow if I make it into the shop. I'm battling this cold that I've had ever since I got a flu shot. George thinks I need a second one and maybe it'll clear up!

The Blue Mustang belongs to Todd @ AutoFX in Tacoma, WA (Just down the street from us) It has one of our turbo systems on w/T76. I believe it made 358rwhp but in past we've had it up to about 410rwhp. I don't recall the tq numbers but they are just as sexy as the car!

00Vette: I've brought that gas station up to the crew before and if I remember correctly, that gas isn't what its all cracked up to be. If you want to buy some fuel the way to do it is to buy it by the drum from VP. :lightblub:
How about a LS1tech fuel group buy sponsored by TTi? We only need 8 drums to get a discount! We have 3 or 4 slots open still on the next buy!

Why do you say it isn't what it all cracked up to be? I don't want to put gas in my car that isn't helping me in anyway. Do you recommend any where else?

I just want to assist all I can in preventing any knock or ping.

And I got to give all you at Turbo Tech a big THANKS for the hard work and help. It was alot of fun.

I'm glad you had fun, the person you really need to thank is George. He's the one that makes all these things possible!

I don't know what the deal is with that fuel but if you PM me, I'm sure George will see it in the morning! I just remember asking about that fuel and he didn't think it was the right type of fuel for a turbocharged car (I do realize your on the bottle and I dont know if the fuel is still that important). I just wanted to put in my .02 cents thats all.

No not just you. I mentioned it at the dyno while the car was still smoking

My car made 475hp & 500tq on the first run. I had turned the main adj on the Alky box from 11:30 to 1:00 to try to eliminate the a/f going to 12.2 at 5k rpms+. I certainly did that. The a/f was good.....too good. As Ellis said, I washed the plugs on the 1st pull. George told me when you do that with alky they are coated & never recover. THey didn't - I dialed it back & tried it 3 more times & it was still misfiring. Next time.

Sorry about your motor Robert! Looking forward to your new setup. I got 450hp & 525tq with my stroker NA, and that is with 9.3:1 cr, so you should be able to hit 500 with yours. And I would try to get one without Eagle rods. They have had issues recently.

If I had a link to the six million dollar man theme music I'd post it

Yea, the stick flopping around was what I first saw (turkey timer ). I thought at first no problem some blow by, then the ensuing smoke and knew oh crap. I couldn't get out of it fast enough. It felt funny from the get go, and also has been making some excessive piston slap type noise when cold.

Mark can you give me some insight on your motor, like who you got it from, how much, longblock or short block? I was looking at LME 402 iron short blk for 3900 and good to 1000hp. Then again, maybe the heads are ok and going with a stroked ls1/ls6 may be cheaper?
Robert

Edit: Here's a link to a combined video (of my mishap)that won't comprimise Chris's site, hosted at ls1tech (better for sharing).

Wow talk about some impressive cars. Sounds like a really good way to spend the day

Robert: Sorry to hear about your motor leaving us, you certainly did push that sucker for a decent amount of time though. I see an aweful lot of good used LS1's for sale for cheap if your looking for an interum solution while waiting for something to be built ?

I bought the forged 402 iron LS1 short block from Scoggin Dickey (a sponsor here----->)

It has an Eagle 4" forged crank, Callies H beam forged rods, -14cc Diamond pistons with file cut rings for 20 psi of boost, ARP bolts throughout, & Cleavite bearings. Since you have a motor you won't need all the extra stuff (pumps, pans, sensors).

I don't see an engine thread from them, but they do have an L92 (416) with everything but the oil pan for $4500 & Dart Pro heads complete for $1439 on their site.

Contact Matt@SDPC & see what he can do for you.
