Default Back in black

Pictures dont do it justice. My car never looked this good, even the day I bought it.

One problem though. As I was turning in I heard a weird noise like a grind or rub or something. So I put it up and looked in the front end and you can see the pics of what I found. I'm guessing it made the noise as it walked over. ?
I didnt see a tire rub anywhere or anything on the rotor.

Then I found a dent in one of the headers. Shawn needs to see it. He was going to buy the exaust so we'll see what he thinks now.

The rest are various pics of the new k-member and upper and lower a-arms.

Hehehehe not yet. Contemplated it today(the Kooks are sitting here all shined up) real hard but I had other stuff to do and it's supposed to rain tomorrow. Wish I had a damn shop.
I need to swap valve covers and while their off I want to check the pushrod length. I have the comp cam tool here. I also have the Meziere to put in as well. I need a full day in the shop!

Also my amp got tossed off the back wall and is lying in the bottom of the t-top well so I need to check that out as well. It didnt sound good when I turned the system on. might be fubar'd

The I have to get to Tom's and get retuned.

Ok gonna swap the headers right now. I know I'm gonna regret this . I'm trying to beat the rain in the driveway

Ok after a few minutes talking to Ellis and Tom about the burnt up wires I found and one I pulled loose , I got at it. They're off except for the y pipe.
4:35 not bad. 45 minutes or so

If Ellis is headed this way tomorrow maybe he could bring them back to the Monroe area ? I can meet him at Toms if the rumor is true.

That was quick, maybe I should just pull into your driveway and have you install them while I wait..

Wellllllllllllllllll, had them all unbolted and ready top drop out when the passenger side decided to be a giant PIA. I even jacked up the block and still coudnt get it out. The block tab is on as this is a different block than what I had before. Ellis is going to be in the area tomorrow and he's gonna make a house call if he has time so it's coming out not matter what tomorrow! Once again, a simple job shot to hell!

Of course the mount bolt hits the a/c so you have to remove the ac to get the mount bolt out. And then the body shop put the drivers side in backwards so I had to take the alternator our as well. Its dark and maybe I had more room to jack the engine up, not sure. I'll check in the am but I think that tab needs to be cut off.

If that worked out that would be sweet. I'd be more than happy to throw some gas money his way.

Its amazing what a nightsleep and some daylight will do. Had it out in less than 1 minute this morning. I'll get with Ellis to make sure he brings them back up your way

UMI all the way. Only thing on my suspension now thats OEM are the SLP pro-rate springs ( I think they were Eibachs? Spelling?) Got the Kooks on all there. Had a little trouble with the Y pipe, nothing major, one of the cats needs to be re-rounded with an expander. Took 1 minute and they guy didnt even charge me at all.

Now I just need Tom to build me 3 spark plug wires and I'm all set. I'm also lengthening one of my o2 extensions. With the new setup I dont like how close it sits to the headers so I'm re-routing it a little. Should pro'lly do both sides while I'm at it.

Then the next thing is to get the Meziere on and then I think I'm done except for a tune from Tom. Then its track time.
