I'm thinking about doing it. I found these at tybyrne. I'm looking at bolt-in, so I can do it myself and I'm not a welder.
Hey Jon and Robert, and anyone else with C5 experience, is this a good choice?

It's ordered, with a swing out and bent style bars. I read the bent style will be easier to install in a hardtop. Woohoo! It says only a couple hours to install, so I can probably do it in 3 weeks.
So how do you cut those nice circles in the carpet?

Now the installation took me an entire weekend. You will have to grind some of the plate down to make it fit, but robert has a great tool to get that working.
If you need help, I'll come over and do what I can. You will have to remove everything from your interior. Carpet, center console, seats, etc. Its an involved process, but if you have half a mechanical mind you'll be just fine.
edit:
BTW, when I ordered my cage it took over 2 1/2 months to get my product. They lost one in the mail and then had to build me a second cage. I pray their customer service and ability to knock out product has improved for your sake.

On the carpet holes, I think I used some tape, then set bar in and market the plate, then removed carpet and made some carefull measurements for the center of the hole, or something like that.
Yea, it took me a weekend also, that couple hour thing, yea amybe for people who do it all the time?
I can/will also help if ya want/need, if available. I think mine came a little quicker, but got it in a group purchase over at vetteforum.

It's finally here! It was delivered in a box that looks like it fell off the truck and got got run over. At least it was wrapped pretty good, so not much damage. I will be ready to come out and play soon, Robert you ready? I may be bugging you this weekend if I get stuck.

Yea mine came all beat to hell also, freaking clowns who handle this stuff. They must deliver with the drive by standard, just toss it out as we go by. I'll be in and out all weekend as a couple guys from work have their rods in the big meet at fair grounds.

It turned out pretty good, and lots of cussing for sure! I like the stub when the swing out bar is removed, it's like a handle that helps getting in/out! Hey Robert, PM me with your results so far!

WTF man the pics show up fine over here, and I checked on 2 computers. You running IE browser or what?
So what kinda numbers are you getting from the new motor? Anything on the spray yet? I see Bremerton has Test n Tune on Friday, that may be my only chance this weekend, because Sat and Sun at Bremerton they list other events...

They workie now. Maybe I have a glitch that just effects your pics on my computer? I'll talk to George and see if we'll be ready, as still fine tuning things. But if at all possible, I would love to break the motor in at bremerton friday. Man I sure like your center console cover, very trick.

One thing I notice is the url for the pics. I form them a bit different than yours. (Judging by your sig image) There's two ways to show it. Maybe I should change the path using your method, to make it more stable.
Your way:

My way:

See any difference?
PS: The console cover is a nice piece, got it over here: http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette...rame=2.50.7135
