Me too, I just went with a 228/232 lobe sep 112/108, as mine is a true street/strip car that I want to drive across country.

Blanco, that's a bad azz cam for sure, pretty healthy.

Well the tr224 might have been the best so far. I spent 2 days on the phone with Mamo and he came up with my new combo. I know TJ loves the small cams that make big power but I'm hoping that having someone besides myself spec out my cam and combo will make a big difference. I did real good when I went with the tr224 and the prc 5.3's but my track times were awefull, might have had a dead hole but no evidence was ever found by Mikey.

The 205's are being prepped the same way Tony did Patricks $ and I'm having him port a 90 as well. Nothing has been left to chance. Everything from valves to rockers are at recomendation by one of the best so this should be my best setup yet. Quench, cam timing events the whole nine yards this time around.

I suppose if I had known how much I'd be having into my new setup I'd have gone a different route maybe, bigger cubes, and maybe even a solid roller, I like rpms.

Plus I know a really good tuner who will make it smooth as silk to drive

Which lobes did that come with?

Judging from the intensity #, they appear to be the same from int/exh, ie; no mixed lobe relationship.

XER on both sides...

Part of the beauty of the 205's is they tolerate more cam than most without destroying the lower and middle part of the power curve. Thats just another benefit of the efficient high airspeed port design. While Chris's (Blanco's) new combination wont set any records below 4000, from 4500 to 7200 this package will scream with the jump to lightspeed portion of the power curve from 5500 till redline....right where I envision Chris enjoying it the most. Of course this type of combo requires gears and the right "supporting cast" but in this case I feel Chris has most of that covered. While Im personally a bit more conservative, this size cam can and will work with the right combination and after spending a fair amount of time with Chris it was obvious he wanted big power high up in the curve and didn't have any issues with some of the obvious negatives a large cam always brings to the table (mediocre drivability, loss of low RPM TQ, etc.). Although once again the 205 port does help to buffer alot of that.

Proof in point is Patrick G....with only a slight jump in CR (a few tenths) and the addition of a much larger cam (actually a hair larger than this with an even narrower LSA), he noted about the same throttle response and low/midrange grunt as the smaller cammed 225 combination. Of course the new combo also pulled like a freight train upstairs barely giving up any power and valve control as high as 7200 RPM's.

Looking foward to the final results!
