Default Over 500rwhp!

I don't care who you are this is freaking impressive. I would have to do a lot more than just a cam to get there. This is close to what the C5's with a blower where putting down. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1762508

Impressive numbers for sure, but not totally surprising. Every high performance engine those heads are on seems to put down impressive hp/tq numbers

It's a great time to be in this sport/hobby.

Jeeeeezus, talk about top end! We're getting that out of lowly ls1's on a max effort build.

Thats an LG port matched intake with LG headers and cam, it's not cheap either!

Yeah but its cheap enough. Everything installed and tuned for under $5k which added to the price of the car and it will spank the Z all day long and leave you with some serious $$ left over. I really believe no one realizes that the Z days are numbered unless they give it a big power boost and not just 20-30hp. They tried that with the ZR1 after the writing was on the wall. As for me, I can't wait to see what the 2010 C7 is.

Hahahaha.. ok ok ... your the profit of doom for the Z06. It's more than just HP that makes a z06 but for some reason you want to kill it. The vette did fine even though it shared the same engine with an fbody and the z06 did just fine at he same time as well.

Drop that 5k into the z06 and see where your power level is. Your not trying to compare it fairly, your just seem to want to be the one to call the end of the z06.. oK have it your way. Its doomed!..lol

That is impressive, I just want to see it for myself on my chassis dyno.

I never said I wanted to kill the Z06. Work on your reading comprehension. What I said in a previous thread was that this engine has the potential to take sales from the Z06. Chevy probably hopes it does since they never intended to keep the "current" Z06 platform for long anyway. Don't any of you thick heads remember what the LT1 did to the LT5? Evidently not. And just to be clear, I love the Z but it is going to lose its luster quickly at the rate this thing is going.

what he was getting at was "for the money" so if you are talking about spending another 5K on top of the cost of the ZO6 kinda defeats the purpose of "for the money". which for the money 5K over the cost of a non ZO6 is far less then the base price of the ZO6 and you get more power. however true it is you get more then more power from the ZO6 you get lighter weight HUGE wheels n tires, a cooler hood and all around badass car. either way I am envious. I think I would rather have the new Camaro anyways. just my preference.

so hows the ZO6 runnin Ramit ? the Camaro is getting there. almost finnished with power adders alltogether and Im going back to handling and braking and Ive begun toping it off with some improvements to the engine bay and all around looks ~Guy
