possible new project...... maybe she'll get an LS1/T56
my brother currently has it,
and has moved on to another project.
’76-77 Camaro motor and rear, 350 SB, HEI, Edelbrock 600 4bbl, Sanderson tubular headers, 3spd Saginaw trans, (4 spd Sag in basement needs to be rebuilt) Extra set of Excellent front fenders, windshield, good used gauge assy with original fuel and temp. Briz billet bumpers, Aftermarket A/C works great, Red velour / White vinyl interior good but faded, white headliner stained and probably original.
0 miles on 235/60 and 215/65 BFG T/A tires and wheel vintique smoothies purchased in mid ’05.
Prob needs steering gearbox, rebuild kit for $300 most people just put bolt in mustang rack and pinion kit in them and use coil over’s and disc brakes. Costs $1500- 2000 for complete bolt in assy depending on options, no welding or cutting required and drops ~100 lbs. Tranny leaks, shifter binds, but drivable. Vacuum driven wipers would be better w/ less cam or electric conversion. Rear leafs saggy and sometimes bump under load, kind of half assed install. Right now I’ve got some of the dash apart, which means gauges don’t work, but I wanted to put the original gauges back in.
Front kits: These are weld in, but I’ve definitely seen bolt in kits that don’t require cutting or welding

Right here I found a completely bolt in cross member but it is available in the kit as well. Just a matter of locating the right source

this permits modern (low effort and precise) rack and pinion steering, easily sourced parts, any brakes, shocks, springs (coil over / Airbags) and ride height you want, better motor mounts and god knows what else. Best part: Joe Dude can install in garage with basic tools and no lift.
Rear kit to properly mount the camaro rear:

I may be driving across country with my dad (in his 2003 GMC 2500HD Duramax) to pick it up and tow it back here.
if all goes well, it will be my weekend driver
possibly make it out to the track once in a blue moon (no nitrous on this one)
