Default My other hobby...Boating! A couple pics and video too!

Took the boat for a short spin yesterday and got a little video...69mph at the moment, but there's a little left in it...until I build a motor this winter
A few weeks ago the boating forum I'm on (screamandfly.com) held it's annual rally out on the Columbia river just upstream from Vantage, so I went out there for that...lotsa fast boats out there...several 100mph+ boats...makes my almost 70mph boat seem kinda slow...but at least I own these guys on the street I'm sure tho, lol! So, if you're bored, there's a bunch of random pictures at http://www.rkarasek.com/images/SFNWRALLY/

Here's a video from yesterday...

Anyway, just thought I'd share a little. Have a good one!

Brian

Yea that **** is fun for sure, brings back memories of days gone by. Nice boat by the way. Check out Wright's Marine for your custom prop work, your mph goal will go up for certain. What lenght is she?

SCHWEET - 69mph is HAULIN *** on the water!!! Our Sea Doo hit 67 (with the wife driving, I could only get 66 out of it with my fat-*** on it)

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with it...it's a 1985 Hydrostream Voyager, v-pad hull. 20 feet long. Seems to be a pretty good all around boat, cruises nice, enough room to fish out of and have some people in it, and skiing behind it is freakin awesome...next to no wake. I even bested myself yesterday, went out and ran it hard for a while, got a max of 70.1mph on the gps...pretty cool considering that motor is pretty much stock! I've got me a new winter project... I'll have to look that place up Robert...depending on what I do, might end up with a different prop yet. There is no low water pickup on it, so I'm limited in how high I can raise the motor, and when I do that it'll be good for close to another 2mph I think.
