Default Weighed my car...

Well, after Ellis got his car weighed, I thought I might take mine down for some race weight comparison. I went down the the local certified scales, and damn she is heavy with all racing stuff installed. With a full tank, it came out at 3580 These LT1's get pretty heavy with roll bar, sub frame connectors and 12 bolt installed (it's no wonder why I'm needing a little more flash stall to improve my sixty's) add to that a 230 lb's driver and it starts to get sickning with that total of 3810.....

where do you weigh it at locally?

I'm guessing the vette is right around 3050 without me in it, but really don't know for sure.

My pig weighed in at 3717 with my cage, "9, me and a 1/2 tank of fuel. Back to a 10 bolt and have been yanking stuff out of the car left and right. If I get back down to 3400 I will be pretty happy but its a long shot.

They charge $10 bucks, but it's the only local scale that I know of...you also get a neat certified receipt......Too bad the damn Bremerton track scale was not working There's tons of free scales on the other side of the water....

Most people don't even notice how screwed up my siggie is....Had one guy try and tell me how my fuel pump couldn't flow 1000GPM.....HE-HE-HE I finally told him to look at my WHOLE siggie....then he got the joke...It's amazing how people still only read what they want to, and never notice the details.....

Yeah, Tyler I know how heavy those can get. Have a friend Jeff Wagner (it's the turbo tech car that runs 8.7's) anyways, his GT weighed in at 3600Lbs with a single turbo set up (car only)......I need to ask how much it weighs on his current configuration, I'm sure more.

I'm currently at 4040lbs gross street weight(all fluids full and me in the seat). The car has lost about 100lbs since I've bought it, but I've gained about 20.
