Whidbey Island. Everyone,
Any of you guys live near Whidbey Island, WA? Just wondering I'm getting stationed there in June... so if any of you guys want to meet up and cruise or work on our cars that would be the sh*t!

Lol. No there are a few cars around here alot faster than mine. But there are only three of us that actually come on here, Another guy has a 98 z28, with some mods and a lot more to come in the future, and another guy that has a 89 GT with exstensive mods done to it. Its a screamer. My mods are all on the way actually. Not to much racing here on the Island, cops are pretty bad here, but there are alot of tracks around here, we have CCC, It is pretty fun. There are some shows, but they are a drive,
I have seen alot of F-bodys here on the island, but none of them seem to know about LS1TECH.

Yeah it is right across from wing 10, I am in VQ-2, I am the GSPO. My rate is MR, I am an engineer, CAD/CAM MasterCam X. So I am way out of the works here, This is all new to me, I will be here for the next 4 years.
MrMartyStone is in VQ-1, Currently on DET. He works in the same Hangor as me. lol

damn bro thats awesome will def have to all get together. yeah, I bet once I get there they'll send me right out to sea. so is it nice over there or what? I hear good things.. the only bad thing I heard is it rains a lot or something. but seattle.. canada.. sounds good to me! how long u been in?

I have been in since 2000, Yeah up here it is great. I was on the USS Nassau, over in Va for about 4.5 years, Came over here to the Carl Vinson, spent a 1.5 on her, Then went to ACU-4 Back in Va, now I am back here.
I love it, lots of hunting, snowboarding, fishing, Micro Brewers, Wine, Women, Race tracks, and all around good atmospher. The people here are very respectfull, and nice. It does not rain as much on the Island as it does in Seattle, It is the wind that sucks here.
I loved Guam, I was there a couple of weeks, and had the time of my life, I have actually thought about going over there for two years.

yeah guams cool been here going on 3 years. lol its gonna hurt though when I leave here takin a 370 dollar pay cut! lol plus the car and all the parts I just bought.. ahhh lol is there cheap things to do around there? do they have a auto hobbie shop? lol yeah.. hopefully i pick up 2nd... its was my first time up. probably not.. maybe 2 more trys!

thats cool man... so is it easy to move out in town over there? most of the people told me it shouldn't be a problem. plus I've lived out in town the whole time i've been here.. collected stuff ya know?

Not to sure about that, I am married, so it was no prob for me. But for someone that has less than 4 years, and only an E-4, Might be a little tuff, they may end up putting you in the BEQ for a while, and you will just have to store your stuff. Until you can draw BAH, and move out on town.
