Hurricane warning?!?
wtf? Sunday/Monday it supposed to be here, we're supposed to get 3" of snow Saturday at around 30 degrees then its warms up to 60 for the hurricane.
I just checked our weather and we have a snow advisory but no mention of a hurricane. I think the radio station was on drugs.

...LOWLAND SNOW IS POSSIBLE OVER PORTIONS OF WESTERN WASHINGTON
BEGINNING SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING..
...STRONG WINDS POSSIBLE ALONG THE COAST AND NORTHWEST INTERIOR
LATER SUNDAY INTO MONDAY..
A SURFACE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO FORM OFF THE NORTH
COAST ON SATURDAY AND SPREAD MOISTURE INTO THE RELATIVELY COOL
AIR MASS IN PLACE OVER WESTERN WASHINGTON. SOME LIGHT
PRECIPITATION IS POSSIBLE SATURDAY MORNING WITH MOST OF THE
PRECIPITATION EXPECTED LATER SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO SATURDAY
NIGHT. PRECIPITATION WILL LIKELY START AS SNOW ACROSS THE
LOWLANDS...THEN CHANGING OVER TO RAIN SATURDAY EVENING IN MOST
PLACES. THE LOCATION WHERE THE PRECIPITATION IS LIKELY TO STAY IN
THE FORM OF SNOW WILL BE IN WHATCOM COUNTY WHERE NORTHEAST WINDS
WILL KEEP TEMPERATURES NEAR OR BELOW FREEZING.
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WITH THIS LOW ARE STILL DIFFICULT TO PREDICT. AT
THIS TIME IT LOOKS LIKE A TRACE TO A COUPLE OF INCHES OF SNOW IS
POSSIBLE FROM EVERETT SOUTHWARD BEFORE THE PRECIPITATION CHANGES
OVER TO RAIN. TWO TO FOUR INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE NORTH OF
EVERETT.
THERE IS STILL A GREAT DEAL OF UNCERTAINTY IN THE FORECAST. SMALL
CHANGES IN THE LOCATION OF WHERE THE LOW DEVELOPS COULD RESULT IN
BIG CHANGES TO THE TYPE AND AMOUNT OF PRECIPITATION WITH THIS
EVENT.
A STRONGER AND WETTER SYSTEM WILL ARRIVE ON SUNDAY WITH VERY WINDY
CONDITIONS ALONG THE COAST. AN EVEN STRONGER SYSTEM WILL ARRIVE
LATE SUNDAY INTO MONDAY WITH POSSIBLE DAMAGING WINDS ALONG THE
COAST THE NORTHWEST INTERIOR.

EVENT EVOLVES. VISIT WEATHER.GOV/SEATTLE FOR THE LATEST

Leaving the political BS out of it, it is kind of funny that they're talking super hurricanes now though due to the global warming. Was watching TLC or NGC or one of those science channel stuffs and they were saying that they'll need to make more numbers on the scale. The cat5 will be mild in comparision to the super canes. Pretty interesting what science can understand about the past. IT will happen in our lifetime they say. We'll see. Glad I dont live in the southern US or eastern seaboard.
Well we had like 2 inches today but it melted quick and we've been aving a mix of snow and rain but no acumulation
this season has been all to quiet down here. we only prepared for evac twice, which is unheard of for the gulf of mexico. we're supposed to start the offshore phase in august, so next year will be interesting
Here's a pic:
