Hurricane warning?!?
Hurricane warning?!? I'm driving my kids to scholl this am and listening to the radio and they are talking about the inclement weather we have coming and sadi teh that NOAA is considering the first ever hurricane warning for the PACNW. Something about a once in a lifetime storm building from a few left over cyclones..
wtf? Sunday/Monday it supposed to be here, we're supposed to get 3" of snow Saturday at around 30 degrees then its warms up to 60 for the hurricane.
I just checked our weather and we have a snow advisory but no mention of a hurricane. I think the radio station was on drugs.

We get cold water hurricane type storms all the time in the winter. Pay attention to some of those bad boys that build up in the Gulf of Alaska.....they look just like a hurricane, and pack 100 mph+ winds. They are saying up to 8" of snow Sunday for north of Seattle now followed by strong winds, heavy rain & floods on Monday / Tuesday.

LMAO!! I knew that was coming.
Leaving the political BS out of it, it is kind of funny that they're talking super hurricanes now though due to the global warming. Was watching TLC or NGC or one of those science channel stuffs and they were saying that they'll need to make more numbers on the scale. The cat5 will be mild in comparision to the super canes. Pretty interesting what science can understand about the past. IT will happen in our lifetime they say. We'll see. Glad I dont live in the southern US or eastern seaboard.
Well we had like 2 inches today but it melted quick and we've been aving a mix of snow and rain but no acumulation

this season has been all to quiet down here. we only prepared for evac twice, which is unheard of for the gulf of mexico. we're supposed to start the offshore phase in august, so next year will be interesting

Our snow never stuck but the rain has been heavy for a while now. No guesses but the pond in my backyard was about empty and it now has about 16 inches of water in it. We havent had this much rain in a while. If it were snow we'd be like prtland maine right now with 1-2ft

We're flooded in here at our house in lynnwood. Utility truck came through earlier and was up into the doors with water. I can't even walk to work as it's waist deep or at least up to the knees, and I don't have any hip waders lol
