Default HVAC Delete the Speed Secrets way

I finally got the HVAC unit modified to delete the AC & got it back into the car. I even got the dash in....sort of. I managed to get it hung and F#*ked my back up doing it, so I still need to connect the wires & such, and put the steering column in. But this was a major milestone for the project.

You'll notice in the pics the heater core remains. None of the other places do this. Race cars don't need heaters....the 1st pic is the unit before the mod. Thanks Ellis!!!

Pretty slick there Mark. Too bad it doesn't have AC. Now its a RACECAR! LOL. I like it. You find the D1 or a YS Trim yet?

Mine didn't have heat either. I suppose it really was a "racecar" though.

You might not have AC but that is one STOUT looking white radiator hose you got coming out of the firewall Kurtis!

Speaking of the firewall, after painting the block-off plate, I realized just how bad mine looked. I may need to repaint that now. Crap, I hate my bling-bling side sometimes.

And yes Chad, getting this done was big. Now I can move on to placing the coil packs & getting the steering wheel back in so I can roll the car onto the trailer so I can take it to get the roll bar installed, then I can install the rear end, gas tank & fuel system so it's ready for when the motor shows up & I cna see how the new headers fit. Then I can plumb the new FMIC & find out what else needs to move. Sure glad I'm almost done.

Nice job there Mark, on your street/strip car, that's how I like to think of our group's rides. What's the ETA on having it all done?
Robert
