Its fake, they would have pulled him off the truck immediatley to give him medical aid. They wouldnt leave him hanging "posed" for about eight different photo angles and then checked to see if he had a chance of living. Why is the title of the page "Urban legends reference pages" anyways?

Hummmmm.... That could be a fake because if he would have really hit that truck at 120 mph he wouldn't be in one piece like on that pic. It all depends on how fast the truck was going in front of him, but I still think it's a fake. The fact is.... fake or not riding bikes is always dangerous.

The death of a human being is not a laughing matter and the title of this thread makes it seem as though you think it is.

Fake or not, going 120 on the streets in anything is dangerous....

Many years ago a guy I knew (Howdy Williams, AA/F dragster driver from Omaha) that hit a VW going 120 on his Harley. His bike looked like that, and he was in 1 piece. But he bounced off the roof of the bug & flew 100'. The impacts liquified his chest. VERY sad funeral for the racing community.

But we all learned something from it. Other drivers can't tell how fast you are going, they just look to see how far away you are (maybe) & expect you do be going 35-60 like the sign says. That's why I try to limite my racing to the track. The street is TOO dangerous for our cars/bikes....

It really doesnt look fake. Speed kills. Its simple. Earnhardts crash didnt look that bad either when you compare it some of the other crashes that people walk away from.

Lets face it bikes are more dangerous than cars for the simple reason people dont see bikes as well. Some bikes are made to go fast just likes some cars. Do 120mph in the dark with just your healight to quide you and your asking for trouble, be it in a car or on a bike. Speed kills, Marks got it right. Limiting your street racing will pro-long your life.
Its also points to a good arguement for me to get a 6pt.

on a side note I live in a 25mph area. All streets leading to my street are 25 and mine is 25. When I go to pull out onto the main drag which is 25mph I intentionaly will pull in front of someone who I know is speeding. WHy???

This is my street and your not going to speed on it thats why. Point is there are self righteous peolple out there who will slow you down intentionaly. I would never do it to a bike. I've been on the back of one when we were cut off. Damn good bike driver is all I can say We skidded sideways and stopped inches from the drivers door but did not dump. Think I might have left a skid mark in the undies too..lol

We yelled at her and all she could say was she didnt see us. Middle of the freaking day on our lunch break and we almost buy it.

Bikes arent dangerous, its the other people on the road.

I agree with the above posts. I've been riding bikes all my life and I just bought a cruiser not too long ago. I'm 41 and I fell once when I was 25 just because some lady stopped her car suddenly at a green light - I had a good 5 seconds distance from her car but that was not enough for me to stop in time safely. My rear wheel lifted, I was able to not hit her bumper but when I landed the bike fell on its left side. I jumped out and didn't suffer one scratch. Pure luck.

Speed, poor decisions, bad judgment and over confidence is what kills on a bike. And above all, it's the stupidity and careless of most car drivers.

Snopes is a site devoted to de-bunking fake e-mail stuff. If they say it's true, it is.

If a rock chip hits your windshield is one thing. If it hits your knee when you're riding a bike, that hurts. Riding a bike is always more dangerous than driving a car, walking, breathing and living. Come on.
