Default found the carnage today

we will see if these pics work. I seemed to have lost my engine in the first pic j/k but its a spun rod bearing number 6 rod at only 46k and no major mods and no nitrous either

no heads cam or intake or anything like that. it has lt's, lid, pushrods and ls7 lifters

you can see in the pic on the right the crank is worn .030 more on the left side than right

i think the previous owner ran it low on oil and romped on it. it didnt have a dipstick when i bought it. he said he couldnt fit it past the headers

what an idiot, he prolly didn't realize that some ls1's use a bit of oil

he ran castrol syntec in it and said it burned a little. i switched to mobile 1 and had no oil consumption issues

upgraded pushrods with stock valve springs is a bad idea too

Don't feel too bad mine bent a rod on startup. Foot off the gas and no indication of anything being amiss. Oil was good, ran good the night before. Went out turned the key it shook, started and started knocking. But now I have more power and another member has my old engine now and hopefully it serves him well after the freshening.

The only thing I can add is mt LT1 cars didn't do that ****. Fuel pumps and Opti's now that a different story but at least they didn't cost an arm and a leg to fix.
