Just as the title states, I would like to find anything with an LS1 M6 for $10k or less.

Its not really that people have beef with autos, its that alot of people find them boring to drive. There isn't anything wrong with them, some people just prefer "more control" over there car when racing.

I'd love to have two lol one with an A4 for drags and an M6 for road courses

Have you ever drove an auto with a stall??? Not to boring if you ask me.

And unless your one bad **** at shiftin gears at the track, Then auto is always the way to go. Just my .02.
