Default OLSD Tune....

Mine is OLSD, And on first start up, it goes to 16+. After it idles a few minutes it will hold in the low to mid 14 range, and driving at about 18-1900 rpm, it holds pretty steady at 13.6-13-9.. When I floor it, it will dip all the way down to 11.2, but then catch back up to its self and stay around 12.1-12.3 while under full throttle.

Does that seem okay to any of you, or do you think it needs a little more tweaking? I am pretty positive that it does need some, but, after changing from the Cali climate to up here, that really doesn't seem all that bad.

I assume these numbers are WB O2 readings?

I get ~14.5 when driving and around.

I'm running with the MAF disabled via computer; is this open loop or closed loop?

Mine is Open loop. I have no maf, no 02's. And yes it is the reading I am getting from my AEM A/F Wideband.

Lol to tell you guys the truth, its hard to get an actual good look at the readings when I put the gas to the floor, ha ha. I need someone to ride in it with me, that way he can look at the gauge while I am looking straight ahead.... At the the side of the road..

Eric, You need to hurry your *** up, and get back. I need some help with my new rearend next weekend...ha ha.

We should check the plugs too to see the real story.

Because there are no 02's in the car. I am assuming would be the reason.

Ok, its just dumb to not allow the car to use O2 feedback while cruising. I'd say thats one of the things that need to be fixed...

Why would it need it? I am not trying to be smart, I am trying to learn all this tuning crap, so fill me in.

Thats the way it was, when I bought the car. SYNERGY was the ones that tuned it. If that tells you anything.

Well think about it this way. Weather/altitude/ect. changes the desnity of the air that the engine breathes in. Without any feedback, the computer can't make any adjustments for these changes. Thus you end up driving around overly rich... O2s are a Good thing.

You need to log the readings, you can't compare all of the inputs that affect O2 readings while driving and get any use out of it.

Sounds like no O2 sensors is STRIP ONLY.

I thought that was the whole point in Being SD tune. Not running with a maf. Kinda like a CARB'd car.

Yes this car is mainly just a strip car. I drive it around here some. But not everyday.

SD means no MAF, not no 02's.

So it would be wise to put 02's back in.. I will have to do some more reading up on this, and I will judge it, and go from there.

I would recommend the use of O2s.

If it's kept open loop the o2's aren't going to do squat besides provide feedback. If you go closed loop then the o2's will provide feedback and adjustments at part throttle (still not open throttle). The map will compensate for DA changes, although the NBO2's will do a good job too and just add suspenders to your belt...another tool in the chest if you will.

I wouldn't worry about it too much since it is a track car, but Ryan is a Nuke and tends to undersimplify things

FWIW After going open loop for a while I went plenty out of my way to go back to closed loop. I would stay SD, but with O2's.

Well I looked under my car. And if I wanted to go with 02's, I would need to get new headers, or have some new bungs welded in. Cause they welded the old ones up.... Dumbass's. Why not just put a damn plug in them..
