I would go even a tad bit smaller for a DD...Just go with a basic 224 or a 228 cam for daily driving.

Since you're headed that direction anyway, tell Ellis and co exactly what you want to do with your car (track, daily driver with a bit more power but with street manners, heavy lope that shakes your *****, a silent sleeper to kill on the street, etc) and I'm sure they can give you good input.. custom cams aren't much more and you'll get exactly what you're looking for.

Cams can really affect the cars personality and the rest of the mods usually just amplify that personality.

I daily drove the t-rex for years 242 248 .608 .612 110lsa Ellis just drove it the other day. It was very streetable IMO. It is all up to the person driving it and what they can tolerate.

I'm loving my Lingenfelter GT2-3. It's small, like 208 220 or something like that. It drives just like stock down low but gives you some great top end as it just keeps on pulling all the way to the top rather than letting you down after 5k.

What are you thinking you'd like to spin the engine up to (RPMs)? I ask because you you start pushing it, with factory rod bolts, you are going to have a problem. Also, what other mods do you have done? Headers, Cat-back? That cam needs an engine thats gonna breath...

headers, ory, lm1 catback, ls6 intake. i know i should get a lid or a cai of some sort yet. the one i was looking at is fom speed inc and i talked to the guys there and it makes its peak power typically about 6250 RPM is what they were sayin so not reving it too much i dont think as to where i would need to do new rod bolts rite now.

I have a 228 230 .571 .592 at 112 LSA, Ellis installed it. Ellis and Jimbob picked it out for me as I know what a cam is and how it work but that is it.. I couldn't be happier with it.
It has been a great daily driver. Idles nice. I don't rev it past 6,000 rpm. It really pulls good from 3000 to 6000 with it. I have an LS6 intake, hearders, exhaust and LID.

I have the GMPP ASA Cam in my car 225/235 .525/.525 110lsa sounds mean and pulls hard, but ellis and I have talked many times about switching it out for something different. It's just not a very road friendly. He has a lot of good recommendations on what to put in for what your goals are. I haven't switched yet because I'm still deciding on what path to go on and would rather do it just once.

My cam size is a 246/250 on a 112. It could be a daily driver, but the rest of my setup screams track only. So I rarely drive it.

My cam and mods are in my sig and everything is in 4300 pound truck. Im kinda disappointed in it, it makes good power but i think i should have went a lot bigger. A buddy of mine has an MS4 239/244 640/644? in his T/A with the same mods you have and loves it. His car screams, from a 65 roll I'll pull 4-5 lengths but as soon as we hit about 80 he'll fly past me like im standing still. He has ran a best of 12.3 @ 120 with shitty FLT headers, ORY, a single flowmaster and a tune on 18" street tires.

+2 for the GT2-3 it does work great for a top end car especially if you've got a good flowing exhaust. I put down about 400 to the wheels with a mild set of LS6 heads on my setup.
