Well here it is, we were still having some tuning issues, you can hear the rpms move around quite a bit and a small stall mid run.

12.66 @ 109

nice run
how much does your truck weigh? and was that with the nitrous? Next year I'll be running a 5.3L in my 68 pickup and hopefully it will weigh around 4000 pounds...so trying to get an idea of where I'll be at, or at least the potential of the 5.3

Do you have any pics of your 68'? I love that body style. I used to have a 71'.

Ackattack- that is quite a project and is looking damn good so far! Cant wait to see it finished, what color are planning on going with?

Thanks Ellis, yeah everything was going good until 2 days ago. We were doing some top end logging and all of a sudden I lose steering, then the battery not charging started flashing and my temps sky rocketed. so i shut it down and pull over to see if i threw a belt. It was still on there, so i pull it off to check all the pullys and all are good except for the crank pully, I could spin it by hand. It ended up stripping out, there are no signs of a slot for a key way anywhere. Its completle smooth inside now. But there is a new one on the way so i should be on the road by wed night.

Damn that sucks. Do not feel bad we had to replace the crank on Marks because the same thing happened

Wow, 12.66 N/A? How much RPM are you running with the 224?

Thanks fellas, it's starting to get there. It's been running alot better since that last run, more and more tuning. We figured out that the change in rpm was due to the PE tables set alittle to high. That run was shifting about 58-5900, we had a few probs with the limiters, we had everything set at 7k but it kept hitting at 6k everytime but we got that solved finally. I swapped the TH400 in but the computer still thinks its in neutral and we had the P/N ECT limit at 6k. so we bumped it to 7k but i don't have a shift light and my tac only reads 6k so i shift once the needle hits the guage partition. Which is around 64-65 on HPTuners.

Has anyone ran their speedo off of the VSS? It would be nice to know how fast im going.

Haha, for a second I was going to say I'm sorry but then I realized it was actually a 5.3 in a big truck and not just 5.3 heads on a Fbody, semi new to the region, don't know the regulars yet.

Makes me excited to see what a 5.3 would do a 2600 pound sports car

That's pretty damn badass for a truck, good work.
