I'm working on this exact issue.

The gap between my headlight cover and fender is different from passenger to drivers side. There must be way to make a lateral (left/right) adjustment to the entire headlight assembly, so I can make the gaps match.

I'm aware the adjustment that can be made to the headlight cover alone, but the movement there is simply up/down not the left/right that I'm looking for.

Been working for my issue for about 9 months now I learned to accept it. I'll take it to the body shop and let them deal with it. Bump for some write ups....

No, but I'm still down if there's interest. Any Central FL cars need panel alignment work?

Don't be afraid to bend the hood a little on the sides and corners so things will line up probably. I learned it from the body guy that painted my last camaro. He put a piece of wood under the hood while it was bolted to car. and pushed down where needed. I was there when he did it because I was pointing out the gaps.

Mine on the drivers side down by the head light doesn't quiet line up on the side. I took it to the best body shop around and they messed with it for 45 min's and couldn't get it any better. So I guess I'm just F.... :>) Couldn't believe how many ways you can adjust those things!

Shoot if you make the writeup, I'm game for putting it on the internet for you. My front end is all out of whack and would love to have a good right up of how to fix it.

bump... need some info or links

i'm working on the hood. i have an extra set of hood brackets i'm going to try an ovlong the holes. the *** end of my hood has about a 1/4in gap that sticks up.

i for the life of me dont understand what could cause this problem. it was like this when i got it. also, i see signs of body work so only god knows.

Post #2 on this site http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/alig...od-139169.html has some generic information about aligning body panels. They're not F-Body specific but it seems to make a lot of sense and get you thinking on the right path to figuring out why a panel isn't fitting right.
