spray paint primer my hood?
my hood is a VFN fiberglass hood and it has several spots where it is in primer, others are just bare fiberglass. i wont have the hood painted for another couple months so is it ok now to sand down the hood and spray paint it with a black primer?

Hi.
I believe you picked up your hood a few weeks ago?
If it's been less then a month, we recommend using the hood on the car for a minimum of 30 days prior to prime/painting the hood. The reason behind this is that it allows the gelcoat to cure/harden...so you will get the nicest finish possible. Installing it on the car during this time allows the hood to cure in the shape it needs to be.
Once the 30 days is over, you can easily block the hood and prime it...then it'll be ready for paint when you're ready - you may need to go over it again at that point
