Hey guys, im wondering if there is a perfect or near close oem paint match in a can for my 2000 sebring silver paint.
I have a few spots on the rear that i would rather touch up for $10 rather then painting them for $$xxx amount. I will have the entire car painted in a few years to come, but i was waiting on the rest of the car to need it first, plus i want to buy a house with a garage before I spend the money on a fresh paint job.
I went to the local parts store and they had a few silvers, one was close, but i was wondering if there is a better temporary match.

properly matching silver in touch-up form is very difficult.. the metallics won't lay down right.. usually causing a darker color once its dry.. even if you get the proper color code

Thanks guys, i searched duplicolor web site, but found no direct link, i would have to call them, i may try the dealer, or call napa, either way i know it wont be perfect but i want to get rid of the primer that is on there now.
I will let you guys know how it turns out and post pics when i get it finished for the time being

Go to any Auto Piant supplier. Tell them the year and color of your car, they digitally mix it and put it in an aero-can. BUT, its not going to be an exact match. Silver is tough as is but spraying it in a different technique effects it too! Your best bet is to have it blended by a professional becuase if you try this, and it doesnt work, your going to be kicking yourself in the *** for having a big dark spot on your car and eventually you'll just have to go to the professionals anyway. I've never seen a direct match from a spray can . Even white, on a good friends honda, didnt match. And thats Honda's white, simplest paint you can buy. Plus its a single stage compared to dual stage. You can add a clear, but in order to be in a can it has to be single stage, or so 3 years ago when i bought it last it was like that. Just get your whole car a fresh respray-its affordable if your staying the same color cause they just clean it, scruff it up, and spray. No door jams or anything!

paintscratch.com is another source, I've bought touch up paint from them before and it was much nicer than anything I've ever gotten from duplicolor.
Just dont spraypaint it, you'll have a really hard time blending it in with the existing paint...especially with silver.
