If your going Custom Paint then I'd definately go with some kinda Kandy... Silver Base first then come back with you color choice this way it'll pop. Remember Kandy Hellfire build?! This way you can definately say you painted it and its not stock paint. I want pics!

IMO if you want something that looks great with both black and chrome rims you should go with a dark gunmetal metallic.
Have them do the gun metal and then an intercoat clear tinted with a couple different sizes of metallic flake, maybe even a small blue flake with a medium silver flake, then a couple three coats of clear.
Or if you wanna get real fancy do an intercoat clear tinted with some blue ghost pearl over the gunmetal.
Kandy is real nice too but too many of the DONK guys are doing it now......

I'm actually stuck in the same delimma myself! I was going to go hugger orange, but it seemed just a little too BLAM! I dont want something suttle, but at the same time, I dont want a "pull me over" sign on top of the car! I think i'm goin with like an arctic white, but topping it with the ice blue pearl. It's a fairly in expensive paint, and its the happy medium im looking for! Orange would probably get old to me after a while... But remember, its your car, do it your way!

white is just a clean color and looks good on anything.. its very sutle but can look good at the same time. i don't know if i wanna stand out or blend in.....

I dont have any pics on hand, its in my color chip book. Its a sikkens paint called ice pearl. It's a totally clear top coat with a hint of blue (when the light hits it just right). Its enough to make heads turn, but not enough to draw unwanted attention. There is also a couple reds I'm looking at as well. Mercedez actually has a nice darker red metallic... I will try to scan the color chips at work tommorow, and post them up!

The color chips dont really scan too well... They looked like ****! I'm heading to the garage now, so I will get some paint code #'s to you. Google the #, and I'm sure they will come up!

The sunset orange always looks good on a TA and its not as pricey as using special effect paint like chromalusion chameleon paint or candy paint jobs which require a base coat then a transparent coat over that then the clear, figure id give my opinion...good luck man

I wouldn't paint a whole car with candy paint...my friend painted his Dodge Ram two tone...silver on bottom and candy orange on top. The truck looked amazing but after a couple years the paint faded on the roof and the top of the bed. You just saw the silver base. Anyway, he tried to get warranty on it and they said there's no warranty on candy. Something like it not being actual pigment? I don't know anything about the candy paint so I don't know exactly what the fading issue is.
