Default Adhesive Removers that are safe on Acrylic Enamel Paint

I am not sure why this is something so hard to find an answer too.. but I have a black tail panel on my car that I rattle canned with Duplic Color acrylic enamel paint. It looks great and I'd like to do other small parts of my car the same way.

My only worry is if decals come into contact with these parts I wont be able to remove them. When I painted the tail panel origianlly I used the vinyl fill in letters and I decided to just fill those in and smooth out the whole panel. I used adhesive remover to remove what was left of them and it destroyed the paint like a paint stripper.

I used 3m adhesive remover. Now my question is.. does a product exist that is safe for these paints? I really don't ever want to go through the hassle again and I am very happy with how the paint job came out I'd just like to find something that is safe to use if I ever put a decal on the paint again.

Thanks!
