Default Bubbling between ttops and back hatch?

My paint is starting to bubble between the t-tops and the back hatch. Has this happened to anyone? And is there a way to fix it with out the cost of $1100.00 from a body shop.
2002 Pontiac T/A

P.S. GM won't fix it....

The roof piece is bad. That whole sail panel needs replaced, that's the only way to correct it. Something most of the 1999-2002 fbodies suffered from. Apparently 1998 doesn't.

Here is the info what needs done (in the sticky at the top of this section):

It isn't formatted too well, pay attention to the text between the pictures.

Exactly what he said. I heard it has something to do with the glue they used to seal the sail panels with.

Parts only from GM Parts Direct to fix this for a t-top car (the panel and two plastic appliques) was about $550 shipped to my door. I'm still trying to pin down labor charges at a local body shop - GM washed their hands of this long ago, and given their current situation, I wouldn't see the situation improving any.

I was gonna try what someone else did on here. Try going to a junk yard and finding a 1993-97 year camaro (as I don't think they had the bubble issue) and using a strong wire like the wire auto glass repair men use to carefully remove the sail panel and replace mine with it. Using the correct glue this time of course lol

my car is a 1998 t-top car and it had this problem. Or at least I think it had it. The car is getting painted now so there is now way to tell anymore. I hope it doesnt come back. But from what I understand being out in the sun is what makes it come back.

If its just getting repainted its gonna come back. The issue is with the fumes/gases of the adhesive used for the panel.
