would this be a cheaper alternative to flat black this is the first time i read about this. I cant find anybody to do this in the states.

There's a shop in PA that does this with vinyl.

This totally reminds me of the scene in the movie "Taxi" where the sexy bank robbers peel the red covering off their car to reveal blue paint underneath. Bank robbers' dreams have come true! Very cool concept, wonder how the paint underneath stands up to being sealed out by the "foil" covering it when its in the sun for extended periods of time.

Pretty neat idea. If you think applying window tint is hard, try putting a decal over a whole body panel without wrinkling it!
