Default Anyone on here succesfully removed sail panel in one piece?

I know many people have tried and failed, but I've heard of a few people succeeding. Looking at it, it seems pretty easy apart from the "lip" that hangs down on each side beneath the t-top. Seems like if you were to just cut that off it would be pretty easy with piano wire or a guitar string.

input?

edit: also, will a hard top sail panel fit on a ttop car? looks the same from pictures

they're different part numbers from GM but it looks like it'd still fit. might not have the little lip pieces that go behind the ttops but that'd probably just make it easier to take off.

a guy about 45 minutes from me has a hardtop car he's willing to let me hack up, any more tips?
