Default Who tints tail lights here?

I'm looking to have this done to my z28 tail lights. I have absolutely no spare time with work and school and I thought before I'd pay some random guy on craigslist and ship my lights to him, I'd check here first. I'll pay for shipping to you and back to me obviously. I would want all but the reverse lights tinted with a mirror shine. I have the 97-02 tails. Shoot me a pm and lets talk $$$.

it's really not that hard, maybe an hour of work, buy vht nightshades. you are just wasting money having someone do this and paying for shipping both ways.

all your gonna get are offers from random people just loking for some quick money, because its SO simple anyone can do it. it LITERALLY will take you MORE time to go about shipping them out and everything than you would to just give youself an hour like hlaalu said and do it yourself. BUT if you are set on having someone else do it, just take it to a local paint shop- they will probably do the best job, they can mix some black in with clear and spray it. from what i've heard that looks pretty good, but never seen it myself. and its not worth the money to me to do that.

i did these for my brothers car in no time at all -and im customizing another set i have here at the house to have an arrow painted in black over the turn signals so when they're blinking the arrow is the only thing flashing, but they will then be blacked out like these so you cant see the arrow until the lights are on.

and for those of you trying to get him to spray can them, LOL....i have never seen a single set of spray bombed lights that remotely pleased me, id like to see you get the look i do without a spray gun and booth...the spray can wont last either, the clear i use is from lifetime warranty insurance work (dupont chromaclear) and i spray it through an iwata lph spray gun in a full size booth...but i guess if you can settle for the flat DIY look, let er rip!

Nice. Have a few possibilities now. I decided that I'm going to have it professionally done not with the vht however.

Thanks for everyone's input and for posting pictures. Appreciate it.

After wetsanding then buffing them I got the same look as yours. Sure I agree there have been a few sets on here that came out flat.

to the OP i use the VHT method with clear.

mine dont look as glossy as yours, but i didnt wetsand or buff them either, which would have gave practically the same results, as StrobinSS said. back when i had my camaros done 1-2 years ago mine had as glossy a finish as yours

these look idential to yours: pics are NOIR's -$12 can of VHT and some dupli-color clear.

If you wetsand and buff out the lights after you spray can clear it.. it will be glossy. Just takes alittle extra work

im telling you guys, in person, its not possible to create a spray gun finish with a spray can, no matter how much wetsanding and buffing you do it doesnt have the properties or thickness to create a deep, clear look...and the pic posted that you said looks identical to mine is an insult because i can tell from the pic they are spray bombed, sure they are shiny, but nothing like the first pic i posted of the pewter TA..

I agree with you I VHT'd em and used a lot of coats of rust-oleum crystal clear and wetsanded and buffed the hell out of them and they looked amazing.
