I think about my change up everyday. Still trying to learn as much as possible. It seems like i'm gonna need more tools. I've been at the junk yard, I forgot what was riveted. Gonna need a rivet tool. I saw the lt1 nose with the ls1 engine. What interests me is that he was able to keep the lt1 guage cluster. I need much more info. Thanks, John

i would love to bolt on an lt1 front end to my 2001. back in the day when i looked into doing this, i thought the problem was the lower hood of the lt1 clearing the lid of the ls1??

Yes the hood clearing is the problem. But I haven't learned how to do it. I realized yesterday that my paint Mettalic green is in such good condition that I will wait until someone hits me before I pay $3000.00 to repaint it blue after nose swap. But still need to learn. HELP

i dont think the hood is any different, i think the hood itself is higher, but i believe that the hood latch is in the right spot.

gonna try to find a step by step to do the ls1 swap on an ls1, see if it says anything about changing the hood latch.
