Need Color Help-Plurple I'm trying to find the right color for a new 4th gen Camaro project. The stock color is Patroit Red Metalic.....which is pretty close to what I'm looking for.
It's not burgandy (too red) and it's not purple....it's in between.
I've looked at a few other colors like:
HOK- Brandywine
Venon Red Metalic-2008 Viper color
Wineberry Red-PPG color
I want to stay with abase coat clear coat.
I saw the perfect color from an a post from somebody named FIRESTARTER from Bellevegas, Il.....anyone know this person and if he still has the 4th gen Ram Air car.... that is the color I want.....but his post was back in 2007. I want to find out what color this is.
I'm trying to find a color that will look good with gray interior.
Please post up PICS of similar colors.....it would be a big help.

Here are the custom reds similar to what you're asking for that I have saved over the years. I don't like all of these, but I save things even when I don't like them.
Some sort of custom maroon color
Maroon with flames
Maroon with red metal flake
Red that fades to maroon
House of Kolor Wild Cherry
a local Cobra kit car painted in some nice reddish purple color
factory Dark Purple Metallic which is just slightly more purple than Medium Patriot Red and can easily be confused for it when it's dirty

That's Monterey Maroon, paint code 44.
I think it's probably darker than you're wanting though, and it's not a particularly attractive color when it's dirty, so I'm not a big fan of it. It's very dull sometimes. Then again, a lot of the others I posted look pretty dull too...

Well after about 100 man hrs looking at colors I'm still not set on a color.
But Venom Red Metallic thats on the 2007-2008 Viper looks pretty sweet.
I don't have picture handy. What do you guys think?

I'm not personally a fan of it because it's really brownish, but I'm not sure what you're looking for.
For dark reds, I like raspberry/blackberry cobbler colors that are vaguely pinkish/purplish.
I don't really like the maroons and burgundys. They remind me of old cars.
It's too brown for my taste, but your opinion is all that matters in the end.
