I don't mind the front too much, the rear looks awful though.

The Black needs to be a little bit lower on the sides. There was a Red & Black LT1 TA in HPP about 6-9 months ago, I think it probably had the one of the best two tone designs for a 4th gen Firebird. I think two tone can look good I just don't think I'd do it to my car.

do all flame paint jobs look good? no. are all stripe paint jobs gonna look good? no. and it follows, that all 2-tones are not going to look good.

but each of these can look good. its all about technique, and knowing the best places to lay your lines to have everything flow with the car, you have to be able to visualize the finished product, and make that happen.

i dont like that car, and i dont think whoever did it knew exactly what they were going for when they did it, they just had "two-tone" in their mind. OR, maybe they love it and thats exactly what they wanted, people like different things...

I don't care for that one at all... but there is a guy in the local club who has red/black two tone on his TA, and it looks great.

IMO 4th gens should not be two toned because they have no good breaks or body lines to follow and that car is proof

Hmm id be nice to see it with the black down about a foot or so more. I was actually thinking about doing something like that when i paint mine. Like if the black came down to the point of the taillights it would looks nicer i think.

Totally agree with black sheep these are not the cars to do that too, I'm not crazy about two tone all together anyways though, that's absolutely hideous

I'd have just done the roof black, like a Z28. But that's just me.. it's their car.

I plan on doing mine similar, but the black will come down to the rolled part of the top of the fenders where there is a body line and then racing stripes to brake up the black. That looks like flat black on gloss red which doesn't look good either. Doesn't look well planned out.

Looks like someone took a giant paint roller and laid waste to the top of it.

Although... I'm not a fan of two tone paint jobs anyway.
