I have a 98 trans am and i just crunched the rear quarter panel i found a donner car but it is a 96 i am pretty sure the rear end of these are the same am i correct? i just want to double check before i spend the money thanks for all input!

 

Yep, the rear quarter panel sheet metal is the same.

 

Yup they're the same. They only changed the body from in front of the doors (fenders, hood, front clip) in the 98 revision.

What years are compatible for the back hatch? I have a extra for a 96.

 

All Firebird or Trans Am hatches from 1993 - 2002 are interchangeable.
