^^Your right for a hard top, I was thinking about the T-top sail panel. I would really be pissed if I had to replace the whole roof.

^^^ I doubt that will work.... you would still have the same problem under the vinyl.

Tried calling a dealer since there is a TSB, but they never called back. oh well. It looks horrible, but I don't have $2k to fix it, I have other priorities first. Oh and the guy at the body shop where I got a quote to fix a mark on the front bumper or repaint the car told me he'd never seen that in over 15 years of being a body shop manager quote "i'd just sand it and paint over it" to which I responed "Well that just isn't going to work, but thanks for the quote". Needless to say he won't be touching my car.
TSB or not... GM is NOT going to be replacing anymore of these. Too many years have gone by at this point and GM won't replace them anymore.

This topic comes up every now and then.... my suggestion....

Doesn't look too hard.... just make sure you use the correct sealant on the new panel. (Also... in Pontiac High Performance.... they also sprayed the inside of the panel to prevent the off gassing problem.... I don't remember what they spayed the inside of panel with though.)
