first thing's first: where your bumper is cracked on the side of the parking light/turn signal, get a drill bit that is just bigger than the diameter of the crack, and then drill the hole at the very end of the crack. this will keep that crack from continuing to grow, which i promise it will do otherwise.

i had the same crack when the car was purchased 7 years ago. i drilled it and it never got bigger in 7 years.

even if you do replace the bumper later, it's a simple way to salvage what you can right now.

NOOOOO bra!!!! fix it! i think they can fix tears, since it's a high mileage car i wouldn't put a lot of money replacing a front bumper cover. do a little at a time so it's not overwhelming....(replacing parts)i know,i just went through all this on my 2000 ta

Dude!!!!! I hit a racoon too....but i was doing about 60 in Hollywood. I heard/felt a splat/pop too and figured I ran over it....Nope, my 3" custom Y squeezed it until it popped under my car. Wrecked my from bumper also. Paint chips and racoon fur to this day!

I'm glad i didn't have my 6LE splitter on that day (I was getting a new adjustable one) or I might've chopped his head off and it would've plopped into my passenger seat as the T-tops were off, haha.

I'll go take pics of my front bumper and post racoon/bumper pics in a few minutes.

I would try and repair it myself first, bondo , glue and a rattle can. Couldn't look much worse than it already does.

I love you guys!

That being said, that crack went all the way. Its like the raccoon was a brick-house and my car was made of marshmallow. It not only cracked the bumper, broke the fog light, split the coolant reservoir, but it also broke off the plastic wheel-well. I'm surprised my tire didn't split in half, haha!

I gave in, I called Gieco. They said that they would consider it like comprehensive, ie: similar to getting my car stolen.

I'll see if the body shop is ready to make a deal with me, like if i get some stripes added to my car. Anyone know who makes Ultra Z hood stripes?

P.S. love the dead raccoon pic. Sad for your car

Nice carnage gents. I wish I had pics of the dog I nailed in a Humvee in Iraq. That was a wicked one.

I think we could have done without pics of the critters with their entrails all over the place.

You can repair the bumper with a bumper repair kit available from a auto body supply store.

F@ck the bra, hideous. I wouldn't repair the bumper either, it will eventually show through. I'd get a new bumper (I'd be weary of the $250 ebay special) OR BETTER YET... lol... get our bumper:

http://6litereaterdesigns.com/store/...roducts_id=204

They will be in stock the end of the month and I can charge full price (through your body shop, $700) and then refund you the $184 for the group purchase price (only 8 of the first 10 bumpers are spoken for) to help with your deductible...

6LE, I love your stuff, but how is the alignment of the front bumper? Ever since my SLP ultraZ hood didn't have perfect alignment, I've been scared about fitment...

haha wow looking at the coons was worth it. Come on guys who takes pics of the **** they hit? The week after i got my car i hit a baby deer and it jumped into my right side light and flipped over the car into the ditch, i stopped the car and the middle bumper popped out so i pushed it in. Its eyeball was also squished in my headlight so i had to pull it out hehe

Edit: Before anyone asks though, sorry no pics lol

I had the exact same thing happen when I hit a dog but mine split from the corner light to the tire.
