Default raccoon splits my bumber

So i was driving 80 down a 2 lane highway and a raccoon jumps out at me. I hear a thump and splatter. I figured the splatter sound was the guts but I was wrong. It was the corner of my bumper by the fog light, it split all the way to the tire.

Now it doesn't hang or anything, but the split is visible at close inspection and it cracked the paint.

The question:

should i get a bra and cover it up (and which type)

or

should i get the front bumper replaced?

FYI: i do a lot of driving (car has 206k on it), previous paint to color match the UltraZ hood on front bumper was already starting to crack and peel reveling previous paint.

personally i would save up and have it fixed instead of covering it up cause the bras to me look worse than a busted up bumper even if the bra fits perfectly and all that then they still look horrible to me but thats my two cents

bumpers can be repaired
and if OEM are worth saving vs Chinese junk for replacement.

i'm sure your right, the bra is probably a bad idea. most of the reason i wanted it was to prevent more road grime from chipping my paint. That probably had a lot to do with the bad repaint job i had, it was prone to peeling...

I took a picture of the raccoon too, but I'll save you guys from looking at it. The bumper, paint, parts and labor professionally done is 1,050. But buying say, the bumper painted to code is only 250.00. Then I'd have to buy fog light, and bumper tabs I think.

eBay dude says he uses dupont paint, and doesn't skimp.
The pro shop said they would have painted it to code too, then charge extra if blending was nessisary.

I do have full coverage, but to pay 500 out of pocket for the deductible and watch my insurance go up doesn't seem worth it...

What do you guys think?

Yikes, same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I didn't pay any deductible since it was a raccoon, even last time with my truck when I hit a deer they didn't charge me a deductible. What insurance to you have?
