For the future - what I recommend is getting a cheap deck of cards - and stick them in between the rim and tire. No tape needed and it creates a great seal. I usually throw some newspaper in behind the cards which helps with any over spray.

I think the front rims turned out good, better I guess then I expected. At this point (running under the assumption these are polished and not chrome) would it be easier to just paint them a gunmetal color?
As far as using this stuff, how easy was it to get a consistent or even coating on all surfaces of the rim?
