Default How to remove Krylon Fusion paint from plastic?

So I hoped it would be warm enough to paint my cowl today. Removed from car, scrubbed em clean. Did nice even coats and all the paint did was run, turn milky, and make a mess What would be the best way to strip the paint and redo them?

^ That or lightly wet sand. Like start off with a high grit sand paper so you won't take a chance on going to far down to mess up the piece thats painted and end up having to fill it where it went to far down.

Hey guys, sorry to bump this thread, but if I go the wet sand method, what grit sandpaper would you recommend?

Oven cleaner might work, and I used a special paint remover on plastic model cars but absolutely DON'T use aircraft stripper. I will tell you that when I screwed up my grille when I tried to paint it with Fusion, it did not come off.

Oven cleaner or straight reducer will take off most aerosol products.

It the trim plastic is anything like the grille plastic, I wouldn't recommend sanding it, especially with coarse sandpaper. All it will do is make deep scratches in the plastic (trust me - I learned from trying it).

The best bet is to use sandable primer if you can't remove the paint with chemicals.

I am not 100% sure what you are working on but lacquer thinner and a green scotch brite bad should do the trick.

can you take them to the local car wash and hit it with a power washer... you would be suprised how much that **** will come off... after that, try lacquer thinner or reducer. I wouldnt used break fluid... the plastic is porous and you will probably not get anything to stick to it ever again.
