Love that model, i had a '65 when i was in high school, drum brakes where scary as hell, put a front end from a '74 with discs on it. I was looking at a '66 the other day then decided better just stick to my current stuff. But can't wait to see what you do with yours. It all looks great so far.

please keep us posted,this is pretty much what im gona start this spring.looking to get a late 60's-early 70's chevy stepside, lower it and paint it satin green and throw a turboed 5.3 in it.so im really looking forward to seeing your project pan out. and btw there is a conversion/hybrid subforum near the top where alot of projects like these are posted

nice! thats a different approach on the hood, i have a 62 gmc stepside thats got a 350/700r4, and a 65 gmc panel thats bagged and flat black and getting a twin turbo 5.3. love these trucks! are you going to put a gmc grille on it or a chev? i see your using a chevy hood.

Chevy but it's not getting left stock either. Why stop now. lol.

Panel's are pretty cool too.
