Question Jetstream Blue on a Trans Am

I came across a good deal to trade one of my cars for a paint job on another. The car being painted is my 98 WS6. I am fairly certain I want a shade of blue, but not too light and not dark either. I am really liking the Jetstream blue. Thinking that blue, with black blackbird stripes, possible a black sail panel and mirrors. Wheels would be polished aluminum or chrome.

Any Jetstream birds out there???

I'm nearly positive that's what I'm going with. Just a tad worried it may come out too light. The lines of the Corvette accentuate it better than the Trans Am probably will, so if the whole thing is too light I may not like it.

By far the best blue I have ever seen. That being said I would run the mirrors and sail blue as well.

The black mirrors and sail panel will give it a ZR1ish look. Go for it!

I would go for it and see if you could swap out the mirrors for those of a Vette and smooth out the place where the old mirrors were and could go with Matte black accents like the Black Bird strips. I think that would look good.

I'd actually go for Nassau Blue Metallic if you want something in that sort of hue. It was an option on 98ish to 2000 Corvettes. Its a color that just really pops without looking too garish. IMO its a far better color than the Gulf Stream Blue on C6 vettes.

Isn't Nassau blue the same paint code as the medium blue metallic on 99s?

It's at the paint shop. I ended up going with something a little darker. I saw a Jetstream 4th gen Camaro and it looked too light. I think it would be mistaken for Medium Blue Metallic. We'll see how it turns out

Heres a few pics I found of an Electron Blue TA.
Its not too light, or too dark, just right.

I own a BBM '99 Z28 and years ago was at a meet when a guy in a Nassau Blue C5 pulled in. We were curious ourselves how close the colors are, so he moved his car over next to mine. Yep, definitely a shade different visually. So, we each checked our paint codes on the RPO stickers and they were also different.

I just got my car painted Electron Blue this past summer, I'm very happy I got this color, I get complements everytime I take her out to the streets, I still need to get the car & paint detailed. It shines beautiful in the Sun. Exterior -Lowered 1.5, 17x9x11 zr1 wheels, 315s, ws6 hood
