Default What is the proper color name for my ta

I have a 1998 Trans Am (trying to load a pic but its not loading) it is bright red(most common I am guessing) what is the proper name for the color. Trying to get a bottle of touch up paint at the local A-Zone but wanna get the right ****. thanks

look inside the door jam or glovebox for the paint number

According to my sales brochure, it's called "Bright Red". Go Figure.

go to a body shop and have them mix you some. that touch up paint never matches

On Camaros it called Bright Ralley Red and in my 02 Trans Am dealership catalog its listed as Bright Red

Either way its the same paint code. Paint code 81U from GM or 8774 if you go to a body shop

The tech name is victory red.

I have a 98 Formula bright red.The GM touch-up paint I got from the dealer when I got my car new is Bright Red code 81 WA8774.

Victory Red is similar but different , its code is 74U . Code for the f-cars is 81U like said above .
