Wouldn't it be easier to sell the ls1, buy a lt1, and put ls1 tail lights on it?

i think the LT1 Trans Ams are Way cleaner than the ls1. the ls1 front end just looks cluttered and cobbled together while the LT1 lines are nice and clean. i have a 95 LT1 with the ram air hood but would eventually like to do what the op is saying and buy an ls1 TA (better motor with way more upgrade options and potential in my opinion) and swap my LT1 Ram Air front end onto it.

I don't care for the LT1 T/A, it's too pointy looking IMO. I LOVE the WS6 LT1 Formulas though.

And I agree that the WS6 LS1 T/A front end just looks too busy. Which is one of the reason I love my Formula...much cleaner looking.

I'd like to see a LT1 style WS6 hood on a LS1 car, that'd be interesting. Too bad nobody makes one.

I DO think the LS1 WS6 hood is mean looking, but it IS a little tacked on looking, what with the edges on the scoops and the "overbite".

Maybe OP meant front end from a "base firebird"?

personally i can say after being around both cars and seeing them side by side i feel the LT1 front end was a much cleaner, much more thought out look. I agree with all of the above posts saying the ls1 t/a looks more like an after thought. They look good but the LT1 just has a certain sleakness about it the newer t/as dont... yea i may be a lil bias but... cant beat the LT1 sound either, gotta love a small block chevy with a big cam

LT1 style is old and to "straight" and solid for me. Sure it kinda flows, but it makes the cars look a lot older. The new style is much sleeker and more modern. It flows a whole lot better with some nice curvature.

I really prefer the LT1 T/A front end over the LS1.
The LS1's look like the flared nostrils, dont get me wrong, I love the idea of the ram air hood, I am actually looking for on for LT1 as we speak, but the cutouts in the bumper throw if off IMO.
I guess that why I have a LT1 TransAm....

That is the best looking base model Firebird I've ever seen.

I also hate the way the front-end was chopped off making it look blunt. I think it's like 4 inches shorter. Finally, there's the turn signals and additional ducts which makes 4 more openings. That's 10 openings on the front-end if you include the fog lamps.
I too feel the LT1 T/A WS6 is the best looking 4th gen. that's why i added the hood/airbox to mine. i like the LS1 front end but it looks a bit weird how the fenders bow up in the middle, it looks like it got punched in the hose. in a way it did because the LS1 is 4 inches shorter than the LT1 and it's all in the front bumper/fenders. It just looks a bit too busy. there's just something badass about the front end of an LT1 ram air T/A, especially in black

yeah i'm gonna ***** out my car, lol.

I absolutely hate the 93-97 Firebird front bumper. The Trans Am is the one I like personally.
