Default crack in paint on hatch

I saw this come out of nowhere the other day. Any idea what might have caused it? Has this happened to anyone else? I just don't want it to spread and get worse. :/

its on the driver side hatch, about right in the middle. not the spoiler

Ah... Can you take a picture a little further back? It's difficult to tell where this is.

looks like the fiberglass cracked. one of your hatch struts may be stronger than the other and flexed the hatch wrong. it can be repaired at any competent body shop. they would re-glass it. sand it and paint it.
